Akkodis is seeking a Telecom Engineer for a Contract with a client in Salt Lake City, UT. Candidates must be skilled in leading cross-functional teams and managing multimillion-dollar rollouts while ensuring strategic alignment and compliance.
Rate Range: $49/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Telecom Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and optimize telecom solutions including voice, data, wireless, and unified communications systems.
- Lead and manage complex telecom projects, such as network upgrades, VoIP rollouts, and cloud telephony integrations.
- Coordinate with vendors and carriers to ensure service provisioning, SLA adherence, and timely issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security policies, and business continuity standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot telecom infrastructure, identifying performance issues and deploying corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align telecom initiatives with business goals and technical requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years in telecom engineering or network infrastructure projects.
- Strong expertise in telecom technologies such as VoIP, UCaaS, SIP, MPLS, SD-WAN, and wireless (5G).
- Proven experience managing complex telecom deployments and working with carriers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
