Linux Administrator
12 Months Contract- Extension
Location : Onsite Mclean, VA Mon Fri
Must Have Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE Linux administration experience
- Linux Physical server build experience
- Onsite for server build
- Patching firmware and Linux servers
- Linux Security
- being available for on call support.
- Automation using Ansible
- Python is nice to have
- AWS is nice to have
- Financial background is nice to have
Qualifications:
- College Degree with 6-8 years demonstrated experience in Information Technology with in-depth knowledge of Linux and Infrastructure Engineering
- Physical server Builds, Linux security concepts and familiarity with firmware patching
- Prior experience with scripting and automation using (Python, Ansible, Jenkins and shell and bash scripting)
- Experience with CICD pipelines for code versioning and code deployments
- Should have an inclination for innovation and current trends and focus on implementation the latest trends in-house.
- Understanding of vulnerability management and risk remediation
- Understanding of HA and DR concepts as they apply to Infrastructure Designs
- Experience with Legacy to Current Infrastructure migrations
- Communicates well within the team to set clear goals and effectively relay the status and accomplishments to management
- An eye for automating common processes
