Job Description:

We are looking for an ArcGIS Analyst to act as an additional staff member on the application support team, specifically to assist with ESRI ArcGIS upgrades and support. This position will be a full-time contract and hybrid in Chicago.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Manage and analyze spatial data, ensuring data integrity, quality, and accessibility

Implement and maintain GIS architecture, including ArcGIS Server and geodatabase solutions

Develop scalable and reusable code for GIS web applications using Arc Py, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and ESRI JavaScript API

Work with spatial data, perform geoprocessing, mapping, and cartographic procedures

Integrate non-spatial data using SQL Server or Oracle databases

Plan, configure, and manage geodatabases, including performance tuning and support

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of GIS solutions into existing systems

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GIS applications and services

Stay updated with the latest GIS technologies and tools, incorporating innovative practices into projects

Design user-friendly presentations and training materials for both technical and non-technical audiences

Conduct workshops or seminars on GIS applications

Address complex spatial problems using GIS technology and propose actionable solutions

Migrate ArcGIS from on-premises to AWS or other cloud platforms

Hands-on experience with Shell Scripting (Linux)

Fine-tune and resolve database performance issues

Design, develop, and support GIS applications using ESRI ArcGIS technology

Required:

Experience with ESRI ArcGIS technology

Proficiency in Arc Py, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and ESRI JavaScript API

Ability to manage and analyze spatial data

Knowledge of SQL Server or Oracle databases

Familiarity with geoprocessing, mapping, and cartographic procedures

Experience migrating ArcGIS to cloud platforms like AWS

Expertise in Shell scripting on Linux

Preferred:

Experience with geodatabase management and performance tuning

Ability to design training materials and conduct workshops
