Role: SAP Solution Expert Quality Management (QM)

Overview

We are seeking an SAP Solution Expert, QM to lead the design and deployment of S/4HANA Quality Management processes tailored to the strict compliance requirements of the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) sector. This role will ensure quality processes meet FAA, defense, and industry-specific standards, while integrating seamlessly with other SAP modules and legacy systems.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • A&D or discrete manufacturing experience (Public Sector-only experience does not qualify).

  • Proven Value Stream Lead experience for a US deployment of an SAP S/4HANA global template with US localization.

  • Hands-on configuration and deployment expertise in SAP QM within S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and implement SAP S/4HANA QM processes aligned to aerospace industry standards.

  • Integrate QM protocols with Materials Management, Sales, Procurement, and Production Planning modules.

  • Design and execute inspection plans based on aerospace segmentation and compliance requirements.

  • Implement and manage Quality processes across Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, MRO, and Service.

  • Lead Batch and Serial Number management processes.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • SAP QM Mastery: Deep expertise in Quality Inspections, Notifications, and integration with other SAP modules.

  • Aerospace Quality Compliance: Familiarity with FAA, defense, and aerospace-specific quality standards.

  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in SAP QM customization, inspection type configuration, batch management, segmentation, and Fiori apps for Quality Management.

  • Integration Experience: Proven ability to integrate SAP QM with multiple legacy QM systems.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret quality data and drive continuous improvement.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong stakeholder engagement across business and technical teams.

Other Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional consulting or equivalent industry experience.

  • 5+ years of SAP configuration experience in QM or related modules.

  • 3+ full lifecycle S/4HANA (v2019 or later) implementations.

  • Experience rolling out and localizing a global SAP template.

  • Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
