DevOps Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City, UT that is seeking a DevOps Engineer.

Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented hybrid DevOps/IT Service Management Analyst to bridge the gap between development operations and IT Service Management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both technical and process-driven environments, ensuring system reliability while driving continuous improvement through automation and service excellence. The DevOps Engineer within DS (Digital Security) is responsible for the execution of ITSM processes in accordance with Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management process guidelines. The DevOps Engineer ensures that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient and timely handling of all production ITSM activities to improve service quality and delivery. This person will work closely with key business partners to guide and assist them on processes, while improving the ITSM policies and procedures in partnership with the ITSM Oversight team.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
* Certifications in ITIL, DevOps, or cloud technologies
* 3+ years of experience in DevOps, IT Operations, or ITSM roles
* Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
* Familiarity with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
* Solid grasp of ITIL framework and service management best practices
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Catchpoint, Grafana, Splunk)
* Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
* Experience in Agile or Lean environments
* Experience working with Ansible AWX
* Rest API experience
* Basic experience dealing with networking and diagnostics
* Ability to collaborate with business and technology partners across the firm
* Proficient technical and process acumen
* See problems as opportunities to automate

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
