Associate & Mid-Level C-17 RM&A Engineer (Reliability & Maintainability)

The Boeing Global Services organization is seeking an Associate or Mid-Level Reliability & Maintainability Systems Engineer for an exciting opportunity with the C-17 Fleet Reliability & Analysis Team in Warner Robins, GA or San Antonio, TX. The C-17 platform is a mature airlifter for air forces of the United States and allied countries. This position plays an important role in ensuring that C-17 aircraft continue to be reliable and mission capable.
Position Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will perform reliability & maintainability (R&M) Systems Engineering responsibilities in support of our C-17 internal and external Air Force customers. Typical tasks include but not limited to the following:

Summary Pay Range Associate (Level 2): $81,600- $110,400
Summary Pay Range Mid-Level (Level 3): $97,750- $132,250

- Review, correct, and analyze field maintenance and failure data
- Conduct root cause analysis and high driver analyses
- Perform component and system level reliability analyses for various aircraft systems such as Engine, APU, Fuel, Hydraulic, Avionics, Flight Controls, Structures, etc.
- Conduct failure analysis and trending analysis and recommend maintenance, operational or process changes to optimize aircraft systems reliability, maintainability, and availability
- Participate in Integrity Program Working Group Meetings, Maintenance Steering Group-3 Meetings, Crisis Management Team Meetings, Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability Meetings, Deficiency Report Review Board Quarterly Meetings,
- Interface with customers and management at major design reviews to provide reliability findings and recommendations
- Provide inputs to proposals. Review subcontractor's proposals for reliability program effectiveness
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 2+ years of experience in engineering or technical field
- Experience with aircraft systems
- Experience with Failure Mode Effects and Criticality analysis (FMECA) and root cause analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.) (Mid-Level)
- 5+ years of experience in engineering or technical field
- Experience with analyzing field data
- Experience in SQL, MS Access and databases
- Knowledge of C-17 aircraft
