Oracle APEX Developer – Financial Applications

Location: Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07677
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
Duration: 6-month assignment
Pay Rate: $67-$73

Overview

Join a dynamic corporate food service organization supporting internal finance teams and on-site guests. We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Developer to design, build, and maintain web-based applications that streamline financial operations and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong collaboration skills, and a commitment to delivering secure, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle APEX applications for finance operations and reporting.
  • Build intuitive user interfaces and dashboards using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Develop and optimize database structures and PL/SQL packages for financial data processing.
  • Integrate applications with internal and external systems using RESTful APIs.
  • Automate financial workflows and reporting processes.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure application reliability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
  • Ensure application security and compliance with corporate and financial data policies.
  • Collaborate with finance stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Technology Skills

Oracle APEX Development:

  • Build and maintain applications using Oracle APEX.
  • Translate business requirements into functional APEX solutions.

SQL & PL/SQL:

  • Strong command of database querying and procedural logic.
  • Backend development, data manipulation, and performance optimization.

Web Technologies:

  • HTML, JavaScript, CSS for dynamic, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Customize and enhance APEX front-end components.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred). 10+ years of experience developing web-based applications. 10+ years of experience with Oracle APEX or similar platforms. Proficiency in:
  • SQL and PL/SQL
  • HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and database design. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders. Experience working with financial data or in finance-related environments is a plus.
