Our Data Engineering team is at the forefront of Walmart's digital transformation, building robust, cloud-native data platforms that enable real-time analytics and actionable insights. We operate in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, partnering with business and technology leaders to deliver innovative solutions. As a Senior Engineer, you'll help define our technical direction and ensure our data infrastructure supports Walmart's ambitious growth and customer-centric goals.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

What You'll Do
- Architect and design scalable real-time data streaming solutions (Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Spark Streaming, Databricks)
- Lead cloud migration and optimize data infrastructure across AWS and Azure
- Develop orchestration workflows with Apache Airflow and enhance Spark on Kubernetes/ECS
- Implement low-latency analytics and robust monitoring (Sumologic, QuickSight, Power BI)
- Mentor engineering teams and drive best practices in cloud-native data architecture
What You'll Bring
- 6+ years in data engineering/software development
- Deep expertise in Kafka, Spark Streaming, AWS Kinesis, and distributed systems
- Advanced skills in SQL, Python, Scala, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with Kubernetes, AWS ECS, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills
