Data / Information Architect
Location Seattle, WA

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of an enterprise metadata model in Collibra, aligned with business objectives.
Develop and execute workflows to integrate metadata management with Unity Catalog and Synaptica, ensuring discoverability and usability.
Champion best practices for metadata collection, governance, and utilization across teams.
Establish an implementation and optimization plan for distributed workspaces in Databricks, leveraging Unity Catalog for secure, scalable data access and management.
Define standards and practices for efficient use of Databricks distributed environments.
Drive cross-functional alignment to support Databricks implementations within a unified architecture.
Unify stakeholders from technical and non-technical teams around a shared vision for metadata and data discovery.
Develop a clear roadmap outlining transition architecture states, milestones, deliverables, and success metrics.
Serve as a strategic leader and a delivery-oriented contributor, ensuring plans lead to results.
Foster collaboration in complex environments, addressing ambiguity with clarity and direction.
Provide thought leadership and encourage the adoption of innovative solutions in ontology, taxonomy, and data discovery.

Qualifications

Extensive hands-on experience with Databricks, Collibra, Unity Catalog, and Semantic Modeling, including integration and implementation in enterprise environments.
Proven track record of implementing and managing distributed workspaces in Databricks.
Expertise in metadata modeling, data architecture, and enterprise-scale data discovery solutions.
Preferred
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
