Job Title: Systems Analyst (Junior)
Position Description:
The Systems Analyst (Junior) serves as a computer systems analyst on assignments that typically involve establishing automated systems with attention to the overall lifecycle structure. The role includes conducting feasibility studies covering design, implementation, and post-implementation evaluation using various approaches. The analyst must establish design criteria to accommodate changes in legislation, mission objectives, or functional program requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct feasibility studies and recommend optimal approaches for system design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Liaise with users to capture additional requirements and desired features.
- Document interfaces between new and legacy systems for integration purposes.
- Collaborate with IT teams and developers to produce new systems and enhancements.
- Validate system changes by conducting thorough testing of programs.
- Prepare and maintain system documentation and technical specifications.
- Ensure that design criteria accommodate evolving legislative, mission, and functional needs.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Preferred Skills: AWS QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI.
General Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in IT systems analysis.
- Proven work experience as a System Analyst.
- Hands-on experience with software development and documentation.
- Solid understanding of business information systems and workflows.
- Working knowledge of business software applications.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language.
Specialized Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in designing business applications on IT systems.
- Broad knowledge of:
- Data sources and data flows.
- System interactions.
- Advanced computer equipment and software applications.
- Advanced systems design techniques.
- Ability to develop solutions for complex technical challenges and advise stakeholders on systems design and IT forecasts.
