3Core Systems is looking for Lead Azure Data Engineer for one of our clients in Deerfield Beach, FL

Title: Lead Azure Data Engineer
Location: Deerfield, Florida (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-12 months Contract / C2H
VERY STRONG SQL
Most critical part is they will move to Alison Quick's data management team Spark project
Very strong SQL- expert
Come up with strategies
Azure synapse environment
Familiar with dimensional data modeling

Lead Data Engineer, SPARK Mod project reporting to Alison once they've successfully been onboarded. This is the same role we were hiring last summer.

• While we need a candidate who is curious, they need to be able to balance that there are times they just need to execute the task at hand and not dig into all the details given the velocity the SPARK Mod project requires.
• This is a lead role so candidates that are not a nine or 10 on communication scale will not be a fit despite how strong their experience is. We are backfilling someone who s been there for 15+ years who is an integral part of the business data meetings all that good stuff The role is wide open and we need other profiles. This is highest priority
• Supporting spark data modernization even though not owning spark.
• Migrating reporting Cognos and tableau to power bi
• Data governance purview upgrade this summer
• Automation anywhere is going away
• Convert to power platform

Responsibilities:

• Proficient in knowledge of business systems, applications, processes and data to support data solutions
• Guide and mentor Data Engineers and/or Data Analysts
• Help coordinate activities, provide leadership in large projects by:
  
  • Establishing standards and providing guidance to other Data Engineers and Data Analysts
  • Ensures other Data Engineers and Data Analysts are following standards
• Foster communication and collaboration between different departments, communicate vision and strategy for ETL tools, pipelines, performance implication of solutions to stakeholders and leadership
• Provide strategic input and help set direction on data preparation and data modeling practices. Stay up to date with the latest tools and capabilities.
• Subject matter expert of ETL tools, pipelines, and performance implication of solutions
• Ability to design and implement highly scalable and reliable data solutions and certify the accuracy and reliability of BU data assets in an Agile environment
• Optimize and fine-tune data solutions for enhanced efficiency and performance
• Ability to work across and within multiple methodologies/ technologies/ business domains

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of SQL in a data-related role
• 5+ years of Data Integration and ETL tool experience
• Azure cloud platform knowledge preferred
• Experience with Agile methodology and Azure DevOps preferred
• Experience in the automotive or captive finance industry is a plus
• Detail oriented, curious, and willing to contribute as a team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
