Location Requirement: ***The candidate must come in to pick up his or her equipment on the first day at own expense. A candidate or a vendor representative must come in to drop off his or her equipment on the last day a town expense.

***There will be times when this position will be required for on-site meetings in the Raleigh area, but most of the work will be remote. The candidate will need to reside in North Carolina, preferably within commuting distance to Raleigh.

ServiceNow Technical Specialist for NCDOT/NCDMV citizen-facing ServiceNow Public Sector Digitial Services/Customer Service Management (PSDS/CSM) applications - Candidates must reside in NC, preferably within commuting distance to Raleigh.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated ServiceNow Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow applications and solutions. You will be responsible for customizing and configuring the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs, as well as providing ongoing support and maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development: Create and manage ServiceNow applications and modules, including form design, workflow creation, and custom scripting.

Configuration: Customize ServiceNow modules and applications to fit the specific needs of the business, including incident management, change management, problem management, and more.

Integration: Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other systems or platforms using web services, APIs, or other integration tools.

Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve issues with the ServiceNow platform, including debugging and troubleshooting problems with scripts, workflows, or integrations.

Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation for ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and integrations.

Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and end-users to understand requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs.

Best Practices: Implement best practices for ServiceNow development and administration, including coding standards, testing procedures, and change management processes.

Upgrades and Maintenance: Participate in system upgrades and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Required Skills:

Proven ServiceNow experience

Web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3)

Basic understanding of ITIL v3 methodologies

Understanding of enterprise IT architecture

Working knowledge of relational databases

Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JAVA Script, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, etc.)

Impeccable time-management and record keeping

The ability to take complex end-user requirements to code

A positive can-do attitude & willingness to learn

A strong personal commitment to quality service

The ability to work independently and with a team

LDAP directories, such as: Active Directory, eDirectory, OpenLDAP.
