Role: SAP PP/DS & S/4HANA Analyst for Vernon Hills, IL (Hybrid); 10+ months
Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled SAP professional with strong experience in SAP PP/DS and SAP S/4HANA to support our manufacturing scheduling and supply planning processes. The ideal candidate brings hands-on system expertise, solid business process knowledge, and preferably direct implementation experience with PP/DS.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and enhance SAP PP/DS capabilities including detailed scheduling, planning heuristics, capacity planning, and order sequencing.
Execute and troubleshoot SAP S/4HANA production planning and supply planning processes ( MRP, planned orders, production orders, basic master data dependencies).
Collaborate with manufacturing, materials planning, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate schedules and supply plans.
Analyze and resolve issues related to material availability, lead times, planning parameters, and planning exceptions.
Ensure planning data (materials, resources, BOMs, PDS, etc.) is accurate and aligned with business processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement of planning and scheduling processes and system performance.
Required Experience & Skills:
Strong, hands-on experience with SAP PP/DS.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA production planning / supply chain modules.
Preferred:
Participation in an SAP PP/DS implementation (configuration, testing, go-live support).
Proven knowledge of manufacturing scheduling, production planning processes, and supply
planning fundamentals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to partner effectively with business teams.
Ability to translate business requirements into functional system solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with constraint based planning and finite scheduling logic.
Understanding of integrated planning concepts (e.g. MRP, capacity planning, planning time fences).
