Job Description:
Client Program is seeking a skilled and collaborative Integration Developer to support the design, development and maintenance of applications that integrate with other systems. Your work will be in ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of our platforms, supporting our efforts to deliver high-quality digital solutions to our client agencies. This individual will work on cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into efficient, scalable, and secure solutions that improve the delivery of critical health and human services program such as Medicaid, SNAP, Public Assistance and Child Support. The ideal candidate has experience in API Development, thrives in Agile/Scrum environments and can contribute to both front-end and back-end application development. The mission is to enhance the well-being of New Yorkers by transforming health and human service delivery through coordinated business practices, modernized technology, and strategic partnerships. Specifically, client will improve and simplify the eligibility determination and delivery of health and human services to NYS residents in areas such as: Medicaid, SNAP, Public Assistance, HEAP, Child Care and Fair Hearings.
Mandatory Qualifications: 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Developer. More than 7 years of experience working on complex projects More than 7 years of experience in integration application (API, batch, async) design and development. across high-profile projects with complex business logic. More than 7 years developing, troubleshooting and optimizing integrations (APIs, asynchronous and batch processes). Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related technical field. 7+ years of experience in designing, documenting, developing, and implementing integration processes/solutions using .NET C#. 7+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) application integration including development of secure web-services, SOAP/Restful APIs. 4+ years of experience developing with message queue (IBM MQ preferred) processing and/or an Enterprise Service Bus. 7+ years of experience with Entity Framework. 7+ years of experience unit testing frameworks (xUnit/NUnit preferred). 5+ years of experience with distributed version control systems (e.g., Git). 2+ years of experience in designing & implementing CI/CD workflows. 2+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Desirable Qualifications: 2+ years of experience working in a federal or state government setting (Health and Human Services, especially in Integrated Eligibility System programs such as PA, TA, SNAP, HEAP, Fair Hearings, Child Support, etc. preferred).
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Integration Developer will work under the guidance of technical leads and collaborate with architects, testers and business analysts to implement high-quality solutions that meet the business and technical requirements and adhere to state and federal compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities: Designing, developing, and deploying APIs (RESTful, SOAP, etc.) for internal and external use. Integrating with various systems, applications, and platforms via consumable APIs, managed file transfers and queuing platforms. Working with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, etc.) to define integration requirements and ensure successful integration. Identifying and resolving integration related issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring data security. Creating and maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation for internal users and stakeholders.
