Cloud Architect

1. Must have BUILT Cloud Environments. Not just deployed them.
2. Ask your candidates if they build cloud shops what that entailed have them walk you through the process.
3. Public Private migration experience is important.
4. Nutanix experience is a MUST.
5. WFH (but keep to CST and EST).

Our customer is looking for a Cloud Architect (CA) to join their team and help build a Hybrid Cloud Architecture discipline guiding the development and implementation of their future technology platforms. These platforms will help enable our significant programs and transform our customer by organizing and optimizing Enterprise Technology (ET) services, leveraging cloud, to serve our business partners.

Leadership: The CA will architect hybrid-cloud architecture and guide its development, implementation, and maintenance. The CA also acts as a mentor to key development personnel, assisting in the execution of duties upon request, and readying these key personnel for the occupation of this position.

Strategy: The CA develops and implements the Hybrid-Cloud strategies that will build a new business platform that will enable the achievement of our business objective.

The CA will also be responsible for the identification and selection of cloud services based on requirements and constraints, has deep subject matter expertise, and can evaluate new technologies and services for fit in current infrastructure architecture.

Collaboration: The CA Lead plays a highly collaborative role where he works closely with Enterprise Architecture team members in defining long-term strategies, roadmaps, as well as with Enterprise Technology (ET) Engineering Leads & Business Unit (BU) Application Development Leads to establish standards and best practices.

Work with ET and BU technology leads to establishing and maintaining a cross-functional team
Leads collaboration in the development of private and hybrid cloud architecture, products and services
Leads collaboration in the design of the technical platform and systems as required

Knowledge: The CA takes the initiative to explore, evangelize, and introduce innovative technologies to improve ET s hybrid-cloud architecture, products, and customer experience. He provides support and leadership to ET Infrastructure and BU development departments, facilitating continuous evolution in both the frontend and backend systems development.
