Job Details
We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with strong experience in C++ and Python, and a passion for developing advanced robotics software.
- Design, develop, and maintain software for subsea robotic platforms.
- Implement real-time algorithms and communication frameworks for autonomous operation.
- Develop sensor processing, navigation, and decision-making software.
- Work with ROS, simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo), and Linux-based systems.
- Collaborate with hardware and systems engineering teams to refine architecture.
- Support rigorous testing and integration in both lab and field environments.
- 2+ years of experience in robotics, embedded systems, or automation software.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Python, particularly for real-time applications.
- Experience with sensor integration (IMUs, sonar, cameras, LIDAR).
- Solid grasp of Linux development environments and software design principles.
- Familiarity with simulation tools and version control systems.
- 5+ years in robotics software engineering.
- Experience with ROS, middleware communication protocols (DDS, ZeroMQ, MQTT).
- Background in underwater robotics or marine systems.
- Understanding of hardware-level interfaces (CAN, serial, Ethernet).
- Exposure to edge computing, embedded systems, and networked architectures.
