The Associate Director, IT Infrastructure and Operations is a hybrid role responsible for overseeing IT onsite support across 11 rural hospital locations in Wyoming (4), California (1), Arizona (2 - Payson, Page), Nevada (1), Nebraska (1), and Colorado (2). This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage a distributed team while ensuring high-quality IT support services in geographically dispersed healthcare environments.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for overseeing IT support services, which may include Field Services, IT Operations, Infrastructure, and Network. They are responsible for managing expectations, requirements, timelines, and deliverables, as well as hiring, training, evaluating, and supervising personnel. They are also responsible for developing staff by providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance, as well as establishing departmental objectives and effective tools to measure and report performance. Finally, they are responsible for participating in the planning of IT strategic objectives and goals, and ensuring that department, region, and company standards are implemented and consistently adhered to.

CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Monitors and evaluates staff performance, providing feedback and assistance to ensure that job responsibilities are carried out in accordance with established guidelines. Identifies areas for improvement and recommends effective solutions to enhance productivity.

2. Develops and implements strategies and procedures for IT projects, systems, and applications. Maintains and reviews current policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with company, department, and industry regulations.

3. Oversees the development of budget and financial plans, monitoring progress and evaluating results to ensure objectives are achieved and maintained.

4. Assists in the identification, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies to increase efficiency, cost savings and customer satisfaction.

5. Collaborates with other department leaders to ensure that IT services are in alignment with company objectives and standards.

6. Provides technical expertise, guidance, and support to troubleshoot and resolve complex customer service issues.

7. Investigates, analyzes and documents system problems and develops solutions to ensure successful implementation of IT projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess strong knowledge of technical, business and management functions as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in computer science, business, related field or equivalent.

Must also possess four to six years' experience in a healthcare technology/support or related environment. Must demonstrate substantial knowledge of information technology and healthcare. Needs significant proven leadership experience in large scale project planning, reporting, and budgeting. Requires exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences. Requires leadership skills with ability to lead, communicate, and interact across facilities and at various levels. Successful candidate will have skills and experience to recruit, mentor, motivate, evaluate, and retain an effective staff.

As is typical in this industry, variable shifts and hours and carrying/responding to a pager may be required.
