 iOS Engineer 

Location: Austin, TX or Dallas, TX (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled iOS Engineer with strong experience in native iOS development and modern Apple frameworks. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Swift, hands-on experience with SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency, and the ability to build scalable, maintainable iOS modules. This role involves collaborating with architects, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences for enterprise-scale applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional native iOS development experience.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Swift with in-depth, hands-on experience.

  • Strong experience with SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency, Combine, and Observability frameworks (expert preferred).

  • Proficiency in writing unit tests and automated UI tests using XCTest (Swift testing frameworks are a plus).

  • Solid experience integrating with RESTful APIs.

  • Exposure to CoreML or Foundation frameworks is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience working with CI/CD pipelines and debugging related issues.

  • Ability to perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.

  • Experience developing modular native features is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of SOLID design principles and ability to apply them to architectural decisions.

  • Experience working closely with Architects and Stakeholders to design appropriate solutions.

  • Skilled in debugging memory, performance, and runtime issues.

  • Experience implementing native accessibility features (VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, etc.).

  • Familiarity with TDD and BDD methodologies.

  • Strong understanding of technical issues, design best practices, and mobile engineering standards.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills within an enterprise development environment.

  • Strong analytic, problem-solving, negotiation, facilitation, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Ability to identify stakeholders, understand their needs, and manage expectations through effective communication.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience with CoreML or Foundation frameworks.

  • Experience working with CI/CD and handling build/debug issues.

  • Experience building modular native features (Schwab’s architecture is unique—prior experience helpful but not required).

  • Strong ability to manage communications with stakeholders and evaluate their needs effectively.
