Our client, a Medical Center facility under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of largest health delivery systems in California, seeks accomplished Epic Reporting & UDS Data Analyst (Clarity/Cogito/Caboodle).

*** Duration: 16 weeks contract w/ possibility of extension

 

Notes:

  • 100% Remote role.
  • Work Schedule: Mon Fri flexible schedule; must work an 8-hour shift between 07:00 AM 06:00 PM Pacific Time.
  • Please include Epic and/or Tableau certifications with resume.

 

Description:

  • The Regulatory and Quality Reporting Analyst will support reporting initiatives by analyzing healthcare data, mapping data elements within Epic to appropriate industry codes, and ensuring accurate capture of patient populations.
  • This role requires the ability to review data, identify gaps, investigate data anomalies, and clearly articulate the processes and steps required in Epic to complete accurate data mappings.
  • The analyst will work across clinical, operational, and regulatory domains to develop, validate, and optimize reports and dashboards that support compliance, quality improvement, and organizational decision-making.
  • Responsibilities include performing data analysis, troubleshooting reporting issues, recommending corrective actions, and executing system updates within Epic as needed.
  • Collaboration with clinical, administrative, and regulatory stakeholders is essential.

 

  • Qualifications:
  • Certified in Epic Cogito, Radar, and/or Reporting Workbench (required).
  • Experience working with UDS tables, data analysis, and mapping Epic data to industry codes.
  • Hands-on experience with Epic Cogito tools, including Radar dashboards and Reporting Workbench.
  • Proficiency with Epic Clarity and Caboodle databases.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases and supporting ETL processes.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining Epic reports and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical and administrative processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of clinical and operational KPIs used in healthcare reporting.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, HITECH, CMS reporting requirements, and federal/state regulations.
  • Experience with quality reporting programs such as Meaningful Use, MACRA, MIPS, and HEDIS.
  • Knowledge of accreditation reporting requirements, including MIPS, HRSA (UDS & UDS+), and NCQA.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Experience with project management, including requirements gathering and managing deliverables.

 

Nice to Haves:

  • Additional Epic certifications (Clarity, Caboodle, Regulatory and Quality Reporting Badge).
  • Experience preparing and submitting data for quality certifications and audits.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools.
  • Tableau certification.
