Job Summary:
We are actively seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team in Chicago, IL. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer passionate about building reliable, scalable, and observable systems in hybrid cloud environments. You ll play a crucial role in automation, monitoring, and infrastructure as code within a collaborative, Agile setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and implement SRE best practices to meet 99.999% availability targets.
  • Manage and support hybrid environments using OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and AWS EMR.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Git/GitHub.
  • Automate infrastructure and operations using Terraform, Ansible, Java, Bash, Python, or Perl.
  • Monitor system performance using tools such as Splunk, Datadog, and other observability platforms.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure system reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive design implementations.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and enforce best practices across teams.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong experience designing and operating reliable, scalable, and secure production systems.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in OCP (OpenShift) and AWS EMR.
  • Proficiency in Linux environments and shell scripting.
  • Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Familiar with Agile development practices and collaborative team environments.

Preferred Skills & Tools:
  • Jenkins, Git/GitHub, Ansible, Terraform
  • Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Programming/Scripting in Java, Python, Bash, or Perl
