Position Title: Data Governance Lead

Position Location : Remote

Job Summary:

This exciting opportunity is full-time and permanent job with Converge. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Governance Lead to join our team. This role combines technical expertise with pre-sales and delivery responsibilities, focusing on understanding our clients' data governance needs, and delivering solutions to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architectural Design: Develop and design comprehensive data governance solutions tailored to client requirements.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales process, including conducting product demonstrations, creating proof-of-concepts, and responding to RFPs.
  • Solution Delivery: Lead the delivery of data governance projects for clients, ensuring successful implementation and adoption.
  • Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to assist in establishing and maintaining data governance standards and best practices, including conducting data quality assessments/audits and providing training and support to client staff on data governance policies.
  • Technical Leadership: Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data governance to advise clients effectively in deploying governance processes and vendor solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for data governance issues and discrepancies for clients.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management or a related field.

Technical Skills:
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data governance solutions.
  • Experience with data governance tools and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data integration, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, Notebooks, and data governance frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
  • Experience with data quality assessment and data auditing.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies including scope, risk, and stakeholder management
  • Subject matter expertise in vendor governance solutions such as IBM, Microsoft, Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Denodo (need to have some of these major vendors- IBM/MS is ideal).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Certification in data governance or data management (e.g., CDMP, DGSP).
  • Experience in a presale's role or client-facing position.
