Job Title: Azure Data Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design and implement scalable, enterprise-grade data solutions within the Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, data lakehouse design, and modern cloud-based analytics frameworks, with hands-on expertise in Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.

You will play a strategic role in shaping data models, defining architecture standards, and driving data modernization initiatives that empower advanced analytics, reporting, and AI-driven insights across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise data architecture solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and optimal performance.

Develop and maintain data lakehouse architectures leveraging Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.

Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SSIS for seamless data integration across diverse systems.

Establish and maintain data models, metadata repositories, and lineage tracking to ensure data quality and consistency.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to define data governance frameworks and enforce best practices.

Implement Master Data Management (MDM) solutions to streamline enterprise data assets and maintain single sources of truth.

Utilize Azure Purview for cataloging, data discovery, and compliance management.

Provide architectural guidance on data storage, ingestion, transformation, and visualization strategies across the Azure stack.

Lead performance optimization, security enforcement, and cost-efficiency improvements in data architecture design.

Core Technical Skills

Cloud Platform: Microsoft Azure

Data Tools: Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks (Azure), Microsoft Fabric

Integration Tools: Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of experience in data architecture and enterprise data design.

Proven track record in cloud data modernization initiatives using Azure services.

Strong understanding of data governance, security, lineage, and compliance frameworks.

Hands-on experience with data performance tuning and cost optimization on cloud platforms.

Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
