Join a dynamic team as a Staff Product Designer, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping strategic design and product directions. This remote position offers a 6+ month contract with potential extensions, focusing on driving impactful solutions for users.

Responsibilities

  • Innovate with human-centered design to support decision making within digital product teams.
  • Influence digital design strategy, aligning decisions with business and technology goals.
  • Collaborate with design leaders and engineering directors to enhance product and digital experience strategies.
  • Conduct design research and develop prototypes to inform strategic product decisions.
  • Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, fostering collaboration and trust.
  • Mentor junior team members, guiding them in best practices and methodologies.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and storytelling to build long-term relationships.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, exceptional engagement, and commitment to clients.

Skills

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Interaction Design, UI/UX Design, Web Product Design, or Web Development.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in user experience and product innovation.
  • Proven project leadership and contribution to multiple digital product developments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with innovative design approaches.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining design decisions and success metrics.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and passionate about driving progress.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration with a focus on delivering business value.
  • Knowledge of leveraging and pushing design systems to achieve goals.
  • Relevant experience in agile environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in designing for financial advisors in wealth management or investment portfolio management.
  • Exceptional storytelling and persuasion skills within a design context.
  • Strategic design thinking to contribute to overall organizational design strategy.
  • Knowledge and experience in diversified financial services.
  • Familiarity with advanced design research methodologies and insight-driven design decisions.
