Business Analyst

About the Role:

We need a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in documenting workflows, gathering business requirements, and supporting cross-functional initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in the financial services industry – familiarity with loan or lending operations is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Gather, analyze, and document functional requirements from stakeholders
•  Map and document current and future-state business workflows and processes
•  Collaborate with project managers, developers, and subject matter experts to ensure clarity
•  Translate business needs into functional specifications and support the development of business cases
•  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirement documents (BRDs), use cases, and user stories
•  Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
•  Assist in the creation of RFPs, RFIs, and vendor evaluation documentation
•  Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners

What We're Looking For:

•  Bachelor’s degree
•  1–3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the financial services industry
•  Strong experience with workflow documentation and process analysis
•  Proven ability to gather, analyze, and articulate business requirements
•  Strong documentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
•  Experience assisting with RFP development and vendor management
•  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
•  Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities

Preferred qualifications:

•  Understanding of loan and lending processes
•  Experience with project or requirement management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
•  Exposure to data analysis tools or BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
•  Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in financial services
