Solution Architect (Remote)
only independent contractors
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect end-to-end solutions that align with enterprise architecture principles and business needs.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define solution blueprints.
- Evaluate technology options and make build/buy/partner recommendations.
- Ensure solution designs meet performance, security, compliance, and availability standards.
- Participate in the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and provide architectural guidance to project teams.
- Create and maintain architecture documentation including diagrams, risks, and decisions.
Skills and Competencies:
The candidate must possess well-developed and demonstrated skills including:
- Strong knowledge of application architecture, data architecture, and system integration
- Experience with cloud-based and hybrid solution design
- Ability to assess technical feasibility and guide platform decisions
- Effective communicator who can present architectural ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Skilled in design thinking, solution modeling, and decision frameworks
Candidate Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in IT solution design and architecture
- Proven experience designing complex enterprise systems
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience in healthcare delivery systems and regulatory requirements preferred
