As part of our Test Infrastructure team, you will develop and deploy novel, state-of-the-art test equipment, contributing towards the hardware and software development of our test capabilities. You will interface with partner teams across the organization to understand end user and operational requirements and deliver robust solutions. We are a hands-on team who all love diving into hard problems like test troubleshooting and then designing out these problems for future tests. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the scaling of our battery technology and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!

What you'll do:
  • Design, develop, and implement custom electromechanical and electrical systems in support of test stand improvements
  • Contribute to the design of control panels, harnessing, controls & automation, power distribution, and data collection systems
  • Assist with the implementation control systems, ensuring seamless communication and functionality between PLCs, HMIs, and other automation components
  • Work with internal and external teams to bring your designs to fruition
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain system reliability and efficiency
  • Work closely with engineers, technicians, and project managers to support the deployment and maintenance of test systems

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or related field with multiple (3-7) years of related work experience, or a Master's degree and some related work experience in developing industrial test equipment
  • Experience with mCAD (SolidWorks, NX) and eCAD (AutoCAD Electrical, Solidworks Electrical)
  • Ability to create and manage complex electrical and mechanical designs
  • Experience working with scripted programming languages like Python for instrument control and/or data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills and experience wrangling different stakeholders to align on a set of requirements
