Description
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Carson City, Nevada. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in providing advanced technical support to end users while ensuring the seamless operation of computer systems and applications. This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with internal teams and vendors to deliver effective solutions.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and upgrade desktops, laptops, and related hardware and software to meet user needs.
Provide advanced troubleshooting for escalated technical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Assess user requirements and recommend appropriate solutions or upgrades for enhanced performance.
Work closely with vendors and internal teams to address connectivity and system-related challenges.
Maintain and update IT documentation, procedures, and contribute to ongoing technical projects.
Offer guidance and occasional mentorship to entry-level team members to support their development.
Ensure system security and compliance by implementing best practices in hardware and software management.
Conduct regular checks to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact operations.
Assist in coordinating IT resources for organizational projects and initiatives.
Requirements
Hands-on experience with desktop hardware, including Dell workstations.
Proficiency in supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its integration with desktop environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage escalated technical issues effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and users.
Ability to collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical challenges.
Knowledge of IT documentation and process improvement practices.
Previous experience mentoring or supporting IT staff at the entry level is a plus.
