Job Details

Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Lead Application Developer to be responsible for development and maintenance of the web-based applications and participate as a technical expert in software design, coding, testing, and debugging with new or existing applications. Specific duties include: assist in preparing operating procedures and best practices; act as a liaison between the Business and other developers to understand the business need and provide technical advice and guidance with a focus on various platforms and services; coordinate and lead activities with business owners to gather requirements; lead analysis of business requirements for new web based applications and enhancements of existing applications in data management areas; lead the design and development activities of the applications; support development, testing, implementation and training activities for applications; assist in the production support activities for the applications in data management area; and understand and apply delivery approaches and perform, independently, business analysis processes in accordance with Zurich Project management framework and the Zurich risk policy. Option to work remotely within the U.S.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field of study, 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Technical Lead, Software Developer System Analyst, or similar position in software programming. Must have 6 years of experience in the Software Programming Applications area using JAVA-J2EE and .NET. Specific experience must also include: designing, developing, testing, debugging and documenting programming languages including Java, React, Node JS, Python, Java Script, CSS, Ajax, Shell scripting, SQL, PL/SQL; working with different frameworks including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, EJBs, Hibernate, Struts, Spring Integration, Spring JDBC, Spring ORM, Struts and .NET; designing, developing, and implementing User Interfaces, APIs, Micro services, SOA and Web Service technologies SOAP, WSDL, REST and RESTful web services; working with cloud technologies including Azure, AWS and MuleSoft CloudHub & on-premises, Anypoint Platform, MuleSoft API Manager, Anypoint Runtime Manager, Anypoint Exchange, Anypoint Management Center, Anypoint Monitoring, Anypoint Visualizer, Anypoint Design Center, RAML; working with data driven applications and data query tools to perform data analysis and validation; working with multiple versions of Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) including Eclipse, JDeveloper, IntelliJ IDE, RAD and Visual Studio; working with build management tools Ant, Maven, and Jenkins; working with Source code version control tools SVN, CVS, GIT and GITHUB Cloud; and designing and developing Use Cases, Activity Diagrams and Sequence Diagrams using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and ER Diagrams.
