Quality Assurance Specialist

Piper Life Sciences is actively seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist (QA) to join a team that's addressing cancer treatment by cell and gene therapy manufacturing. This person will support projects by being a liaison to the product staff, and reinforcing best practices regarding quality standards. This is a on-site Monday - Friday position with traditional hours, in the Chapel Hill, NC area. This is a stable, small organization where this role will make a big impact on the team.

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Specialist (QA):

• Tracks manufacturing errors and initiates investigations regarding non conforming events in a GMP environment
• Creates and reviews batch records and provides feedback to production staff, QC staff, and EM staff
• Acts as a technical writer for policies, SOPs, and any other documentation in support of quality and manufacturing operations
• Continue growing experience with QA, cell culture, and cell and gene therapy operations

Qualifications of the Quality Assurance Specialist (QA):

• B.S. + 1- 4 years in a GMP environment
• Cell culture exposure, nice to have
• Experience in QA/QC/or production areas

Compensation of the Quality Assurance Specialist (QA):

• $58,000 - $74,000, depending on relevant industry experience
