The Client is seeking a Warehouse Support Technician to provide logistical and technical support for IT field staff and subject matter experts serving schools and administrative locations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor support tickets and assign parts promptly
  • Pick up obsolete equipment from schools and sites
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment (laptops, desktops, WYSE, interactive tech, etc.)
  • Order and track parts to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Manage and update asset tracking databases
  • Support school projects with onsite hardware/software setup
  • Install Apple apps and perform iOS updates on Apple devices (iPads, MacBooks, iPods)
  • Install and configure AirWatch MDM on mobile devices
  • Perform Windows updates and patching
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor wireless/network/printer issues
  • Escalate major issues to IT Infrastructure teams
  • Perform proactive IT checks (labs, media centers, antivirus status, interactive whiteboards, OS compatibility, etc.)
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the ticketing system
  • Maintain professional and customer-service-focused demeanor at all times
  • Transport parts/equipment between warehouse and APS sites (must have own transportation)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years experience (5+ years for Lead Techs)
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Familiarity with inventory and asset tracking systems
  • Knowledge of basic network and wireless troubleshooting
  • Ability to install, update, and configure software on various operating systems
  • Valid driver s license and own reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass fingerprint-based background check
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
Certifications:
  • CompTIA A+ (Required for Lead Technicians)
  • Microsoft Windows certification is a plus
Preferred Attributes:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Professional communication (written and verbal)
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Experience in education or public sector IT support is a bonus
    Work:
  • This work will be completed on-site at the warehouse or at any of the Atlanta Public Schools sites or buildings in the metro Atlanta area. The technician would need to work M, T, W, TH, F (typically 8am 5pm). Hours may change slightly to accommodate the school hours for elementary, middle and high schools.
  • Warehouse technicians will be required to pick up or drop-off parts to/from locations and must have their own means of transportation.

Leadership:

  • The warehouse support tech will take day-to-day direction from the Asset Lead. He/she will be responsible for providing regular updates and meeting the deadlines imposed by the district.
    Contract Duration:

  • Initial 2 week temporary status than rolling into permanent contractor

  • Option to extend annually - based on performance.
