Field Services Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Services Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about delivering high-quality technical support and infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and support new hardware and software systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Provide technical assistance to users with varying levels of IT proficiency.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions and installation documentation.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Zones team and the customer.
  • Travel extensively to customer sites, including overnight stays and flexible scheduling.
  • Use a personal vehicle for travel (mileage reimbursement provided).
  • Use a personal cell phone for work purposes (monthly reimbursement provided).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with PC systems, peripherals, structured cabling, and common software/OS platforms.
  • A+ Certification.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%, including weekends and off-hours.
  • Experience with retail environments and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Proficiency in server/network rack setup and connectivity.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and Apple iOS.
  • Strong documentation and inventory management skills.
  • Ability to complete final configuration tasks on-site.
  • Extensive experience with desktop/laptop hardware and structured cabling.
  • Expertise in fiber optic cabling and testing.
  • Experience with CAT5/CAT6 cabling, punch-downs, and patching.
  • Knowledge of access points, VOIP systems, monitor and camera maintenance.
  • Experience with digital signage is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Lift certification (e.g., Walmart or Sunbelt) is a plus; reimbursement available for certification costs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
