Job Title: Staff Product Technology Lead

Location: Lakewood, CO

Client/Company: Medical Device Company

This role leads technical excellence and innovation across the complete lifecycle of assigned product lines-from concept development through sustaining engineering to end-of-life. Through strong technical expertise and influential leadership, this position drives product and process improvements, makes critical technical and strategic decisions, and leads project execution. The role ensures reliable product technical integrity while delivering significant business impact through successful commercialization.

Role

As a Staff Product Technology Lead, you will be the primary technical authority for assigned products, guiding development initiatives, investment decisions, and cross-functional collaboration. You will drive technical strategy, lead product innovation, and ensure system architecture evolution while maintaining quality, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute technical strategy and product roadmaps for assigned product lines.
  • Lead product innovation through technical expertise and cross-functional influence.
  • Drive system architecture evolution and technical standards across functional teams.
  • Oversee quality and regulatory strategy implementation, ensuring technical risk management.
  • Communicate customer and market needs to engineering and software teams for optimal product development.
  • Provide technical leadership within project teams, guiding best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Lead design implementation and transfer activities, ensuring manufacturing partner alignment.
  • Drive supplier technology advancement through strategic partnerships.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration through technical influence and strategic decision-making.
  • Guide complex product lifecycle decisions, balancing field, factory, and future priorities.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of technical programs with significant business impact.


Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive technical experience in product development.
  • 3+ years of technical project leadership managing multiple initiatives.
  • 3+ years of product development experience in the medical device industry.
  • Proven success leading product development phases from design to commercialization.
  • Strong expertise in systems engineering and collaboration with software teams.
  • Track record of driving results through cross-functional influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical programs with significant organizational impact.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in engineering or computer science.
  • Strong business acumen with experience shaping product strategy.
  • Expertise in medical device quality systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to drive improvements.
  • Proficiency with engineering tools, DevOps practices, and product development systems.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment, read, speak, hear, walk, bend, stand, stretch/reach, and perform hand/finger dexterity tasks.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds or transporting up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment.
  • May require domestic and international travel based on business needs.
