Description

The Desktop Support Engineer will play a pivotal role in providing end-user technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and effective onsite and remote desktop support to end users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop systems, as well as associated peripherals such as printers and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with operating systems (Windows/Mac), Microsoft Office Suite, and other enterprise applications.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and other relevant platforms.
  • Support network connectivity issues, including LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN access.
  • Perform regular maintenance, such as system updates, patches, and backups, to ensure systems are secure and up to date.
  • Document and track service requests, resolutions, and recurring issues within the company ticketing system.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, including setting up hardware and accounts for new team members.
  • Provide guidance and training to users on IT tools, systems, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to contribute to process improvement initiatives and documentation.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, IT Technician, or a similar technical support role.
  • Strong proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Experience with administering and supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and remote access software like VPN.
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts and equipment configuration (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent (preferred).
