Position: Analytics Consultant

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid Opportunity)

Full Time position

 

Role Overview:

 

  • The person will be working for a major Insurance client. He/ She will work with different stakeholders to identify data points in the insurance sales lifecycle and communicate the information though visualization.
  • A typical work day will involve interacting with client stakeholders to understand and synthesize business requirements and convert them into reporting dashboards.
  • The person will also be required to participate actively in brainstorming sessions for improvement opportunities and take it to completion
  • A suitable candidate should have 6-8 years of experience in a similar role with 2+ years of experience in the insurance domain and should possess strong consulting skills. He/ She should be able to deal with ambiguity.
  • Experience in insurance domain is mandatory.

 

Key Responsibilities & Skillsets:

 

  • Common Skillsets:
    • Superior analytical and problem solving skills
    • Should have a very strong consulting background and experience working on consulting projects previously
    • Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverable with minimal or no supervision
    • Ability to quickly understand relevant tools
    • Good written and verbal communication skills for client interaction

 

 

  • Visualization/BI/Reporting Skillsets:
    • Should have hands on experience working with Tableau/Tableau Prep to create and refresh dashboards
    • Ability to create new Tableau dashboards from the scratch and also make modifications to existing dashboards
    • Should have some SQL experience to navigate through databases for data extraction and consolidation
    • Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, database concepts and data management

Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years’ experience in reporting with 2+ in the Insurance domain
  • Should have a strong consultative mindset with the ability to lead discussions with the client stakeholders
  • Data analysis combined with reporting/Business Intelligence experience
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
