Java/Kotlin Engineer

Overview: We are looking for two experienced and motivated Java/Kotlin Engineers to join our development team. Youll be building scalable APIs, working with modern tech stacks including Java 17, Kotlin, Kafka, and Postgres, and playing a key role in delivering high-quality software in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:
Develop and test robust, scalable APIs that align with business goals

Build and implement features from the product backlog
Accurately size user stories and contribute to sprint planning
Write and execute unit and automated tests
Ensure deliverables meet acceptance criteria
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure and security
Document design and development processes according to industry standards
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, agile practices, and engineering excellence

Required Qualifications:
820 years of experience in software engineering roles
Strong hands-on experience with Java 17 and Kotlin
Solid experience in API development and PostgreSQL
Familiarity with Apache Kafka in a production environment
Proven experience in agile development environments (13 years minimum)
Strong testing mindset including TDD and test automation
Comfortable working in an agile, iterative development process (e.g., user stories, retrospectives)

Preferred Qualifications:
Scrum certification
Experience working closely with DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams
Contributions to open-source or side projects in relevant technologies
