Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Analyst with a leading client in Brooklyn, OH. This is a hybrid 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time.
Compensation: $65.00/HR
Job Description:
The Technical Business Analyst role will require strategic design and mapping of business requirements and solutions to system/technical requirements. An individual filling the Technical Business Analyst role should be comfortable leading discussions with both business and technology partners, and able to clearly articulate possible issues, as well as solutions. The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for writing technical specifications (for development, system integration, etc.) based on direct interactions with the line of business and technology team. These specifications will need to be precise and clear, as the Technical Business Analyst will work closely with technical leads to ensure feasibility and scalability of solutions. The Technical Business Analyst is engaged in best practice development initiatives, provides thoughtful leadership, and ability to adapt to ever-changing technology and business environments.

The Technical Business Analyst will support both the Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment platform and the Account Reconcilement Management (ARM) platform. Previous payments experience with ACH and/or experience with Positive Pay applications will be necessary. Previous mainframe experience is also preferred. The Technical Business Analyst will both work independently and with a team in an effort to improve, modernize, and enhance these systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Works effectively and individually with Technical and Non-Technical team members.
  • Maintains a focus on customer satisfaction and success.
  • Oversees the successful completion of all aspects of assigned project work.
  • Works with a cross-functional teams in optimization of application capabilities & business processes.
  • Provides Business Analysis and Project/Product support for the development, enhancement, quality assessment, and on-going support of the relevant lines of business (LOBs).
  • Ability to influence and gather requirements for new application features and enhancements that are consistent with strategic priorities. and run requirements through Business team and procure signoffs
  • Capture requirements for a moderately complex system and/or multiple systems; understands the SDLC and its impact on deliverables.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements and convey with appropriate level of detail to the development team.
  • Support and/or participate in user acceptance testing to ensure quality in application releases and user experience.
Requirements:
  • Banking experience highly recommended
  • Experience with check fraud and/or payment processing highly recommended
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively prepare and maintain the following documents / tools:
  • Business process flow
  • Architecture and design best practice
  • Requirements (business, functional, and technical)
  • Executive summaries
  • Project plans
  • Demonstrates the following leadership skills:
  • Works within deadlines for project team members
  • Monitors progress, and follows-up
  • Provides respectful feedback, and escalates where necessary
  • Analyzes/Identifies areas of risk and develops plans to minimize
  • Ability to learn quickly and think creatively
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to take a leadership role when necessary
  • Strong skillset needed in Jira, Confluence and SharePoint
  • Experience working with developers, both onshore and offshore
  • Understanding of data, Data Models, and a familiarity with data reporting
  • Bachelor's degree or similar experience in a related technology area.
