Hi All,
This is a Remote Contract for 12+ Months,
Maily to focus primarily on the following three key areas (must-haves):

  1. Manufacturing or process manufacturing environments
  2. SAP data ecosystem
  3. Microsoft data technologies

Client Expectation:

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team. This role will work in close partnership with the Data Intelligence team to design, optimize, and govern the enterprise data ecosystem. The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in Microsoft and SAP data technologies, enabling robust integration, scalability, and alignment with enterprise business strategies.

The Data Architect will play a key role in shaping our enterprise-wide data strategy, ensuring data assets are well-structured, secure, and accessible to support analytics, reporting, and innovation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain data models, data flows, and integration architectures that align with enterprise strategy and enable interoperability across systems.

Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of data management and integration technologies, with a focus on Microsoft Azure data services, SQL Server, Power BI, and SAP HANA/SAP BW.

Establish and enforce data governance, quality, and security practices across structured and unstructured data assets.

Provide architectural leadership in designing ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms.

Partner with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data architecture solutions.

Ensure data platforms support advanced analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and business intelligence initiatives.

Stay current on emerging Microsoft, SAP, and cloud-native data technologies and assess their potential application within the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise architecture roles.

Experience working in manufacturing and/or process manufacturing environments.

Proven expertise in Microsoft data technologies (e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Power BI).

Hands-on experience with SAP data ecosystems (e.g., SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP Data Services, SAP integration with Microsoft platforms).

Strong knowledge of data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and database design.

Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred).

Familiarity with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and master data management (MDM).

Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence data strategy at the enterprise level.

Preferred Skills

Experience with data lakehouse architectures and modern data platforms.

Understanding of AI/ML data requirements and enabling infrastructure.

Knowledge of data security, compliance, and privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

TOGAF, DAMA, or similar enterprise architecture or data management certifications.
