Position Overview:
Texas Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-impact healthcare technology initiatives, including the implementation of a TPA (Third-Party Administrator) platform. This role is critical in aligning cross-functional efforts, managing vendor relationships, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in health plan operations, strong project leadership, and a hands-on approach to execution and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
< data-start="1108" data-end="1148"> Project Leadership & Delivery</>Lead full project lifecycle from planning to launch, ensuring scope, schedule, and resources align with business goals
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies
Oversee coordination across internal teams and external vendors, including TPA integration
Ensure timely and successful feature releases, UAT, and operational handoff
Translate business and regulatory requirements into actionable technical tasks
Define and validate use cases and acceptance criteria for technology teams
Manage health plan system implementation, claims workflows, and vendor platforms
Guide user testing, documentation, and feature signoff across stakeholder teams
Serve as the main point of contact for business and technical teams, including third-party vendors
Maintain alignment through effective communication and regular stakeholder updates
Build executive-level reporting on project health and critical milestones
Create process documentation and facilitate operational mapping for business and IT teams
Support projects in hybrid environments (Agile + Waterfall) with flexibility and urgency
Drive collaboration, accountability, and clarity across delivery partners
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Business, IT, or Healthcare Administration
12+ years of project management experience, specifically in healthcare/insurance domains
Hands-on experience with TPA implementations, benefits setup, or claims system integration
Proficient in project tools: MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira
Strong understanding of both Agile and Predictive (Waterfall) delivery methodologies
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with TPA partners for health plan implementations
Familiarity with startup-style operations or fast-moving healthcare product launches
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, claims adjudication, or payer platforms
