Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a dynamic IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on technical proficiency and a passion for optimizing network performance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco products.
- Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 switching, VLANs, STP, VTP, HSRP, VRRP, and EtherChannel.
- Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and ensure network scalability and reliability.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead network upgrades, migrations, and integration projects.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Expert-level knowledge of Cisco Catalyst (e.g., 9000 series) and Nexus (e.g., 5000, 7000, 9000 series) switches.
- Strong understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and switching technologies.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, NetFlow).
- Experience with SDN solutions (e.g., Cisco ACI).
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting).
- Knowledge of firewalls, load balancers, and wireless technologies.
