Position: Java Developer
Location: New York 10036- ONSITE (5 Days/Week)
Responsibilities:
- Enhance and support the framework and container of our Next Generation Algo Trading Technology platform to ensure our system can handle the high-volume of data necessary to trade complex instruments for sophisticated clients across asset classes Equities, Futures, FX
- Develop/enhance the framework to support strategy customization and strategy models that are develop by quantitative developers
- Working extensively with our Automation Testing tool, Workflow Management System and Trading Engines essential to this project.
- Analyzing business requirements, designing the software system, developing solutions, testing software and investigating and resolving production issues.
- Developing, enhancing, modifying, and maintaining applications supporting the algo trading platform
- Production support
- Build and test process automation
- Periodic update application to comply to firm standard
- Work and collaborate with a global team with presence in Americas, UK and Asia
- Agile compliance
Required skills:
- Core Java
- Multi-threading in Java
- Ability to write efficient algorithm
- Unix scripting and navigation
- Past development experience with an Electronic Trading system
- Past experience with FIX protocol
- Good communication and problem solving skills
Desire skills:
- Past development experience with a trading application
- Experience in Equities/Futures/FX asset classes
