Job Title: Java / ColdFusion Senior Software Developer

Contact:

Worksite: Denver, CO (The candidate must be located in the Denver, CO area this is 100% remote however they must be local in case they need to go back into the office)

Contract Length: 1 Years left on contract then another 3 years after this period.

Pay: $110,000 - $125,000 for salaried or for 1099 $60.00 - $67.00 an hour

Job Description:
Mindbank Consulting Group has an immediate need for a Senior Software Developer. For this job you must know ColdFusion and Java. There is legacy code you will be dealing with in this project.

Senior Software Developer Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction for the development of a major web application using modern Java and ColdFusion web technologies.
  • Work with project and user management to define requirements, estimate time and costs, and prioritize features.
  • Mentor and assist other team members as required.
  • Provide technical expertise and contribute to all aspects of the design, development, testing, and support of Java web applications.
  • Develop applications for cross browser compatibility on Microsoft and iOS platforms as well as mobile devices.
  • Work closely with the client and user groups to define functional requirements related to law enforcement activities, guidelines, import/export regulations and CVB Notice of Violation to facilitate widespread user acceptance.
  • Create application prototypes to refine requirements.
  • Create system technical specifications based on functional requirements.
  • Work closely with technical writers in the creation and modification of user manuals.
  • Based on functional requirements, create accurate estimates of hours necessary to complete application work.
  • Develop test plans, deployment guides, and provide hosting support.
  • Mentor and assist other team members as required.
  • Create new and maintain legacy code, databases, and stored procedures .
  • Create a new module allowing client users to record their Administratively Uncontrollable Overtime. The module includes digital signature management for monthly reports.

Senior Software Developer Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or similar degree with relevant technical experience.
  • 8+ years experience developing applications using object-oriented structured programming using ColdFusion and Java.
  • In-depth working knowledge of Java and web technologies including Spring.
  • Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Web, SQL database design and development, JPA and/or Hibernate, web services, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with automated testing and web application deployment.
  • Experience with user-focused design and mobile-friendly web applications.
  • Experience developing websites that meet Section 508 (persons with disabilities) standards.
  • Experience implementing security and privacy best practices for web applications.
  • Experience with Federal Information System Security standards is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience in developing and deploying applications in a Cloud-based environment is a plus.
