Engine Mechanic I
Location : 7007 Consolidated Way, San Diego, CA 92121, San Diego, CA 92121
Duration : 6 Months+
pay rate : $42.89
Schedule : Mon- Fri 2:30 PM- 11:00 PM
2ND SHIFT POSITION:
The incumbent will perform work, with oversight, necessary to assemble, disassemble and reassemble a variety of aero-derivative gas turbine engines modules, components, or accessories, in accordance with appropriate technical specifications or standard work practices.
2+ years experience engine overhauls.
Complete Engine Mechanic I qualitifications
A&P License (preferred)
Ability to read and interpret service repair manuals and technical publications to determine work procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills in the use of various hand tools including but not limited to torque wrenches, transducers, multipliers, dial indicators, micrometers, scales, and other precision instrumentation.
Ability to work and manuever around engines to successfully fulfill the job requirements.
Qualified as an Engine Mechanic I (internal criteria).
Experience working internally with LM2500, LM6000, LMS100 or other aero-derivative gas turbine engines or packages.
Strong verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.
Attendance and punctuality
Production Planner
Responsibilities:
Actively participates, learns and applies knowledge to support dissassembly, cleaning and assembly of aero-derivative engines such as LM6000, LM2500 and LMS100 gas turbine modules and engines.
Works independantly and may support team and other experienced Engine Mechanics by preparing tools, equipment, materials, sketches and technical information, etc. Performs a large array of tasks, activitites, as needed, to ensure timely delivery.
Performs inspections of gas turbine engines, components, and hardware for serviceability in accordance with technical specifications, routers, manuals, or other quality verification criteria.
Adherance to all Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures. Maintains accurate records and ensure proper documentation per the Quality Management System (QMS).
Work as scheduled, on time and every day.
Observe the "Three Circles" with particular focus on Chromalloy Values.
Ability and willingness to work OT
All other duties assigned by Leadership, Engines Leads and SME's.
