Job Details

Role: BizTalk Developer
Location: East Brunswick, NJ / Cranbury, NJ ( 3 days per week)
Duration: 6-12+ Months

This position requires on-site presence three days per week in East Brunswick with a move to Cranbury, NJ Q2 in 2026.
Following is a profile for the role:

  • BizTalk Server Expertise: Deep understanding of BizTalk Server architecture, components (Orchestrations, Pipelines, Schemas, Maps, Adapters), administration, and deployment.
  • Integration Patterns: Knowledge of various Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) such as message routing, content enrichment, message transformation, etc.
  • Messaging Technologies: Proficiency in messaging protocols and technologies like SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, EDI, and Web Services.
  • .NET Development: Strong .NET programming skills (C#, ) for developing custom components, orchestrations, and adapters.
  • XML and Related Technologies: Expertise in XML, XSD, XSLT for data transformation and validation.
  • Database Skills: Understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL Server (or other databases) for data integration.
  • Adapter Development: Ability to configure and/or develop custom adapters to connect BizTalk Server to various systems and applications.
  • Business Process Management (BPM): Familiarity with BPM concepts and tools for modeling and automating business processes.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot integration issues.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with business analysts, architects, and other developers.
  • Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Designing and developing BizTalk Server solutions based on business requirements. This includes creating schemas, maps, orchestrations, and pipelines.
  • Integration: Integrating various systems and applications using BizTalk Server adapters (e.g., file, FTP, HTTP, SQL, SAP).
  • Testing: Developing and executing unit tests and integration tests to ensure the quality of the integration solutions.
  • Deployment: Deploying BizTalk applications to different environments (development, test, production).
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitoring BizTalk Server environments and troubleshooting integration issues.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimizing BizTalk Server solutions for performance and scalability.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining technical documentation for BizTalk Server solutions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with business analysts, architects, and other developers to deliver integration solutions.
  • Maintenance and Support: Providing ongoing maintenance and support for existing BizTalk Server solutions.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Keeping up-to-date with the latest BizTalk Server features and best practices.

MuleSoft knowledge a plus.
