Job Description

ECS is seeking a Tester to work remotely .

We are looking for a results-driven software tester to be responsible for designing and running tests on software usability. The software tester will conduct tests, analyze the results, and report observations to the design team. You may also interact with clients in order to understand the requirements of the product.

To be successful as a software tester, you should have a working knowledge of software and test design, the capability to run through tests, and the ability to analyze the results. Ultimately, the software tester should be result-driven, have good communication skills, and up-to-date knowledge of software programming and software test design.

This is a remote position, and the perfect candidate will be self-motivated with a keen sense of initiative.

Key Responsibilities of a Software Tester:
  • Design and execute test plans: Creating and running test cases to verify software functionality and identify defects.
  • Identify and document defects: Using bug tracking systems to report and track software issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams: Working with developers to understand and resolve identified issues.
  • Perform regression testing: Ensuring that bug fixes and new features don't introduce new problems.
  • Conduct performance and load testing: Evaluating software behavior under different conditions, including stress and load tests.
  • Maintain test documentation: Keeping records of test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
  • Staying up-to-date with testing trends and tools: Continuously learning about new testing techniques and technologies.
  • Participate in requirements and design reviews: Providing input on software requirements and design documents to ensure testability.
  • Create test reports: Summarizing testing efforts and results for project stakeholders.
Salary Range: $79,040 - $93,600
