Job Details
Job Title: Electromechanical CAD Designer - Doors Systems
Duration: Direct Hire FTE
Location: Buffalo Grove, IL
Required Pay Scale: $80,000 - $90,000
Job Summary: Need an experienced designer with strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, and good manufacturing knowledge to assist the client's engineering team designing a new door to add to their passenger door products for heavy transit buses.
Project Details: Responsible for product design, CAD modeling, creation of detail and assembly drawings, bills of material and related production documentation.
Design work ranges from small sheet metal or machined components to complex, motorized top level assemblies comprised of numerous subassemblies and component parts. Designing product packaging and fixtures may also be needed. Create 3D models and drawings in parametric-based CAD software (Creo or Solidworks is preferred). Understands functional and manufacturing-based challenges with new designs and participates in design reviews and problem-solving exercises. Generates creative solutions; Translates concepts and information into images; Uses feedback to modify designs; Applies design principles; Demonstrates attention to detail. Applies knowledge of ANSI drafting standards, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to define part or assembly features and fits. Support production operations, including resolving build issues and assisting shop personnel when necessary.

- Associates Degree and 5 year's + experience
- Electromechanical Product Design
- 3D modeling software to develop new parts and assemblies
Desired Skills
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 5+ years of experience
