Quality Engineer
Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Old Bethpage, NY
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
For over 50 years, we are a leading independent provider of diffusion and thermal-sprayed enhanced surfaces. As a an innovator in the field of HVOF and plasma thermal spray coatings, diffusion coatings, and coating surface finishing, we prepare critical components for aerospace, transportation, energy, and defense industries.
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the quality systems, process qualifications, nonconformance management, and continuous improvement projects. This individual will leverage quality knowledge to bring new products and processes to market.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the quality systems, process qualifications, nonconformance management, and continuous improvement projects. This individual will leverage quality knowledge to bring new products and processes to market.
- Act as lead product and process quality expert for customers and internal organization
- Prepare for and manage all source inspections
- Develop, revise, apply and maintain quality procedures, quality plans, documents and work instructions
- Implement methods of procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and calibration of equipment
- Perform internal & external audits and surveys

- Perform internal & external audits and surveys
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field, and/or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of professional experience in manufacturing
