Position Overview: An esteemed company seeks a skilled and dynamic individual for the role of Vice President of Commercial Applications within our Internal Technology Team. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), this position requires a candidate with extensive expertise in B2B sales, services, and configure, price, quote (CPQ) systems, coupled with exceptional leadership capabilities in Salesforce technology and software product development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency across various software, hardware, and subscription-based businesses, boasting a track record of crafting internal solutions to streamline business processes from lead generation to cash collection, encompassing professional services, customer support, and B2B e-commerce.


The successful candidate will have led at least one significant technology transformation program, particularly in sales or services domains, and will have overseen Salesforce and custom development teams, fostering strategic partnerships and delivering substantial value to business stakeholders. They must exhibit a deep understanding of business requirements and ensure alignment between technology initiatives and organizational objectives, fostering stakeholder satisfaction and operational excellence.


Responsibilities:



  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the internal technology team, driving the implementation and optimization of sales, services, quoting, pricing, and invoicing systems to boost productivity and efficiency.

  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership to translate business objectives into technological roadmaps and solutions that facilitate scalable growth.

  • Supervise the management and optimization of CRM, CPQ, and order management systems, ensuring seamless integration with other sales technologies.

  • Oversee the development of custom software tools and products tailored to internal stakeholders' needs.

  • Lead the Salesforce technical team, offering guidance and support to uphold best practices and technical proficiency.

  • Foster innovation in sales technology, continually assessing emerging trends to enhance the sales process and elevate customer experiences.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, services, commercial operations, and finance, to align technology initiatives with overarching business goals.

  • Cultivate a high-performing technology organization focused on stakeholder satisfaction, superior engineering, and operational excellence.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in internal technology with the aforementioned business expertise.

  • Extensive knowledge of sales processes, services, and CPQ systems, with hands-on experience in implementing and optimizing sales technologies.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and CPQ, with a proven ability to lead Salesforce technical initiatives.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the capacity to inspire teams and drive results.

  • Strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration across all organizational levels.
