Job Details

As a Foundry OFP Manufacturing Engineer, you will plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work within the foundry environment. Operating in a team-based setting, you will be responsible for projects of moderate scope or significant parts of larger processes, working closely with engineers, supervisors, and operators to ensure efficient order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute manufacturing engineering projects.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supervisors, operators, contractors, and suppliers.

  • Work approximately 75% on the shop floor to support operations.

  • Analyze and specify methods, equipment, and processes to meet cost and quality goals.

  • Design engineering solutions and oversee feasibility testing.

  • Evaluate quality of engineering works and recommend improvements.

  • Contribute to drafting and evaluating engineering standards and specifications.

  • Coordinate activities with subcontractors and act as their primary contact.

  • Identify process/system inefficiencies and implement changes via established programs.

  • Support product development and define/deliver based on customer needs.

  • Utilize project management principles to meet set objectives.

  • Participate in ongoing training, conferences, and professional development.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Technology or equivalent relevant experience.

  • 1+ years of experience in a foundry or process engineering environment.

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective collaboration and communication abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience in manufacturing line/process design.

  • Familiarity with SAP, MES, Creo, and AutoCAD.

  • Knowledge of controls engineering and safety systems.

  • Experience in robotics programming and troubleshooting.

Additional Information
  • Business casual dress code; steel-toe/metatarsal boots required on Day 1.

  • Some travel may be required for training at other facilities.

  • May operate a Gator within the factory after completing training.
