Job Title: IT Operations Engineer
Location: Milton, PA (5 Days Onsite)
Job Type: Fulltime
Summary:
- An IT operations engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the IT infrastructure and systems of an organization. They monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of servers, networks, databases, applications, and other IT components. They also implement security measures, backup procedures, disaster recovery plans, and documentation standards. They collaborate with other IT professionals, vendors, and end-users to provide quality IT services and support.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the IT infrastructure and systems, including servers, networks, databases, applications, and cloud services.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, patches, backups, and audits of IT systems and devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues and incidents, escalating them when necessary.
- Optimize the performance, availability, reliability, and security of IT systems and services.
- Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, standards, and best practices.
- Coordinate and communicate with other IT staff, vendors, and end-users on IT projects and tasks.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions to improve IT operations and efficiency.
- Create and maintain IT documentation, reports, and inventories.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
- Proven experience as an IT operations engineer, IT administrator, IT technician, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, databases, applications, and cloud services.
- Skilled in the use of both Windows 11 and Windows Server operating systems
- Experience managing Microsoft 365
- Proficient in Cisco networking technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Good communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Skilled in the use of Aruba Access Points would be a plus.
- Certifications in ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, or other relevant areas are a plus.
- Azure experience would be a plus.
