Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate and driven Java Developer Intern (OPT/CPT) to join our growing development team. This is an excellent opportunity for entry level candidates or international students on OPT to gain hands-on experience in real-world software development projects using Java and related technologies.
As an intern, you ll work under the guidance of senior developers to build, test, and maintain Java-based applications. You ll gain exposure to professional development workflows, code reviews, Agile methodology, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in designing, coding, and debugging Java applications.
* Support the development and maintenance of backend services and APIs.
* Participate in daily standups and Agile development processes.
* Perform unit testing and troubleshoot bugs or technical issues.
* Collaborate with team members and attend code reviews.
* Document code and contribute to project knowledge base.
Requirements:
* Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or currently pursuing).
* Strong understanding of Core Java, OOP concepts, and data structures.
* Familiarity with Spring Boot, Hibernate, or JDBC (plus but not required).
* Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
* Good problem-solving and communication skills.
* Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Completed coursework or personal projects in Java.
* Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
* Understanding of REST APIs and web technologies (HTML, JSON, etc.).
